What to Expect
Most of our new patients request an exam and cleaning for their first appointment. During this visit, we will evaluate and screen for conditions like:

Our patients with healthy teeth and gums can benefit from a preventative cleaning. However, individuals who show active signs of bone loss and gum disease will benefit from soft tissue therapy to get ahead of their oral infection.
What if I Need Treatment?
We strive to provide fast pain relief and care for anyone experiencing discomfort. If your new patient appointment is for a specific concern, Dr. Morrison will take steps to get you comfortable and create a care plan for long-term results. Similarly, we are happy to answer questions related to elective services, such as smile makeovers. With our flexible payment options, you can schedule your treatment as soon as you’re ready.
Will I Need X-rays?
Dr. Morrison uses high-resolution digital X-rays to aid in the patient examination process. These digital films use extremely low levels of radiation, making them safe for patients of all ages. During her exam, Dr. Morrison will share these images with you to communicate any findings or concerns. You can co-plan your care right alongside us.
X-rays are essential for identifying issues between and around teeth, where a visual examination is not possible. Such as abscesses, bone loss, or decay. They also provide a baseline to compare future images against to monitor oral changes over the years.
Depending on the quality of any existing X-rays you have and how recently they were taken, most patients will receive a full-mouth scan or set of X-rays at their new patient appointment.
Insurance and Financing
Our patient coordinators are happy to answer any questions you may have about your dental insurance benefits. We work closely with your carrier to maximize the coverage under your specific plan. However, all plans and carriers are different.
If you do not have dental insurance, please be sure to ask about our in-house membership program for comparable savings on all services.
